Happy Friday Bulldogs! Let’s take a minute to celebrate some of the many things that make Central great!
Student Materials PickupThe week of August 31st was a busy one in the Field House! Students arrived each day to pick up their materials for the school year, from textbooks to chromebooks, and many other supplies, in order to be prepared for the start of the school year on September 8th. During the week leading up to the pickup, our secretaries, educational assistants, administrators, tech people (hi Chenard!) and more prepared the materials for each and every student at Central. All of this planning and preparation resulted in a seamless pickup process, which allowed students and families to simply drive up and receive their materials. Thank you to everyone who made this week a success-- and a special shoutout to Toni Carpenter and her team for preparing both the chromebooks and textbooks for student pickup. We appreciate you all so much!!

Painting the Wall & WAC in the News Last week, Central’s staff worked together (in a safe and socially distant manner, of course!) to paint the wall outside Central to honor our seniors and their upcoming graduation. Even the press showed up to share our staff’s work! Thanks to all the teachers and staff who worked on the wall, and to Ms. Dlouhy for coordinating it.

Well, we met that goal by 1:00 PM. From staff in the district, community members, family, and friends from all over, we exceeded our goal. WAC walked, biked, and/or ran 536.3 miles!! Best Buddies co-advisor Grace Barr said, “I’m blown away from the suppo…

Senior Spotlight - Athletics Over the last month, our Athletic Director, Mr. Marien, has celebrated Central’s senior student-athletes with the “Senior Spotlight” on Twitter (twitter.com/wacbulldogs or #WAC20spot). It includes a great photo and graphic of the senior, as well as an interview that asks questions like “Which teacher has had the biggest impact on your time at Central?” and “What is the best advice a Central coach has given you?” It’s a great way to recognize our senior student athletes, especially since we can’t watch them on the court or field anymore. Best of luck to all of our senior student athletes, and thank you to Mr. Marien for creating this and sharing it with the WAC community!
