Happy Friday Bulldogs! Let’s take a minute to celebrate some of the many things that make Central great!
Painting the Wall & WAC in the News Last week, Central’s staff worked together (in a safe and socially distant manner, of course!) to paint the wall outside Central to honor our seniors and their upcoming graduation. Even the press showed up to share our staff’s work! Thanks to all the teachers and staff who worked on the wall, and to Ms. Dlouhy for coordinating it.

Senior Spotlight - Athletics Over the last month, our Athletic Director, Mr. Marien, has celebrated Central’s senior student-athletes with the “Senior Spotlight” on Twitter (twitter.com/wacbulldogs or #WAC20spot). It includes a great photo and graphic of the senior, as well as an interview that asks questions like “Which teacher has had the biggest impact on your time at Central?” and “What is the best advice a Central coach has given you?” It’s a great way to recognize our senior student athletes, especially since we can’t watch them on the court or field anymore. Best of luck to all of our senior student athletes, and thank you to Mr. Marien for creating this and sharing it with the WAC community!

Collaborating to Complete Math Topics Ms. Michalski had a sweet “teacher moment,” as she stepped back and watched her students help each other out using math vocabulary and their own reasoning to explain concepts to each other. The group of students are in different level courses, and some had even just met each other through the online chat. What a great example of students stepping up to help each other!
AP Lang Enters the New York Times’ Contest In AP Language and Composition, students spent the first two weeks of Distance Learning composing editorials for the New York Times’ annual Editorial Contest. All year, students have been reading and analyzing the rhetoric of editorials - both historical and modern - so it was time to put what they had learned into action. The students were able to pick any topic that they wanted to write…
